UBUDISM | WHO AND WHERE

The idea to start UBUDISM was in 2017 on the Indonesian island of Bali. Willem Blokker lived there for a number of years. He came in contact with a skilled goldsmith with whom he came up with the plan to start a new label: UBUDISM: Men's sandals, unisex fashion and balinese bracelets.

Both silverware, sandals and clothing are produced in UBUD and Celuk, villages in the south-central part of the island. They use traditional production methods to manufacture their unique and original silverware. UBUDISM uses its own guidelines in order to be able to inspire and create its own identity. For example, the label makes no distinction between men's and women's items. Wear what you want, or, as the official sentence reads: Decide to be yourself. The silversmith team is very motivated and dedicaded to go for the best quality!

UBUDISM | BRACELETS

The bracelets have a "Sterling Silver quality mark." So you’re sure of the real silver guarantee. Sterling Silver consists of at least 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. The standard requires that the alloy has a silver amount of a thousandths fineness of 925. The designs are designed for men and women, available in 5 sizes: 18 - 19 - 20 - 21 - 22 cm.

UBUDISM | LOGO

The logo consists of a praying frog. His hands are folded and he smiles friendly towards the world. Why a praying frog? Owner Blokker: "During my stay in Bali I was taken out of sleep for days by a frog. His loud call made me mad. The various attempts to capture him at the pond and to place him outside the walls failed. After desperate pelting the scream with stones, the next day I repented and thought: "I am a guest here in the tropics, how can I be so animal-unfriendly and disrespectful ... I must forgive him!" So he wanted the frog to 'restore the animal' in the form of a tattoo. That tattoo has yet to be put but the praying frog has become the logo of UBUDISM! A symbol of forgiveness and respect. "
